How to publish your SketchFlow mock-ups online as runnable silverlight app
Did you want to publish your SketchFlow entry for the WPAppItUp contest but didn't find a free way to do it?
Here is how I did it using Windows Azure.
First, you have to package your SketchFlow project. (In Blend – File -> Package SketchFlow Project..).
The next thing you have to do is open a Windows Azure account. Windows Azure is Microsoft cloud platform and they have a trial version for free. The trial version is for 90 days, which should be enough for our purpose. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsazure/free-trial/ (they ask for credit card, but they will only use it if you keep using your account after 90 days).
After you have your account, log into the management portal and select "create new storage account".
after you created it, write the primary access key and the blob url, you'll need them later.
Now you'll need to download and install a management program called "Cloud Service Storage". https://www.cerebrata.com/Products/CloudStorageStudio/Download.aspx.
Open the program, select "Connect to Azure Storage" and enter the name you chose and the primary key and connect.
Right click on containers -> new container, enter a name and save.
press yes when you asked if you want to upload blobs to the container. select all the files in your SketchFlow package and upload.
Open the container you created, right click on Deafult.html and select "blob url".
Tweet the url and you're done!
I hope this information was useful, leave a comment if you have any further questions.
Share and Enjoy!
